Borgo Egnazia, Nowhere Else

Borgo Egnazia is inspired by the shapes, materials and colours of a typical Apulian village’. This visionary project was designed by Pino Brescia, a local architect who brought to life a concept created by the Melpignano family. Borgo Egnazia is a tribute to traditional architecture which incorporates materials (local stone and hand-cut "tufo” stone), and features such as small windows and porches typical of the region. It has with 63 rooms, 92 mini houses or as they call them ‘casette’ and 29 Case. In addition to its now well known family-focused programme, the Family Happiness Break, Borgo Egnazia designs experiences to let guests find their personal path for happiness through a pervasive wellbeing approach that has at its core their Vair Spa. The Happiness Break is a regenerating journey aimed at achieving a renewed happiness through body care and a sense of gratification. The Family Happiness Break includes tailormade experiences and treatments to strengthen relationships, for the wellbeing of the whole family. In addition to a selection of classes, meetings and treatments, Borgo Egnazia has added a host of local experiences perfect for the family to immerse themselves into local Apulian traditions, have fun and get their hands dirty.
