Portrait Milano, Milan

CITYITALY
December 2022 saw the unveiling of Milan's most exciting new hotel, the Ferragamo-owned Portrait Milano, set in the former Archiepiscopal Seminary, Europe’s oldest and the world’s second oldest seminary, which has never been open to the public.

The 3,000sqm piazza is framed by a double colonnaded loggia where the hotel rooms and suites are situated. The ground floor, the new Piazza del Quadrilatero, plays host to restaurants, boutiques and a spa, The Longevity Suite.

Portrait Milano’s rooms and suites range from 32 to 165sqm, suitable for both couples and families travelling to the most vibrant city in Italy. Lungarno Collection has once again collaborated with architect Michele Bonan on the interior design element of their fourth project together.

The rooms are inspired by Milan’s salotti, living rooms, of the 1950s: the blond Italian walnut, wood and rattan boiserie as well as oriental references, typical at the time, are reminiscent of the most glamourous houses in Milan.
