Sonnwies is the perfect destination for families looking for an activity fueled mountain holiday with a touch of skiing.Founded by the Hinteregger family in 1999, Sonnwies has grown organically from a small guesthouse on the owner’s farm to a modern family’s paradise. All meals are included as well as 70 hours of free childcare and access to the 1km beginner’s ski slope which lies adjacent the hotel.
Outdoor activities include snowshoeing, snowman building, ice-skating, tobogganing, pony riding and skiing. A weekly programme includes activities such as cooking classes, arts and craft, tending to the farm animals, pool parties, zip wiring.
One of the three children’s swimming pools is outdoors and heated year-round. Two separate pools and a relaxation spa is reserved for adults and a family spa with a low temperature sauna is available for children.
Children can visit the hotel’s original farm where they can feed the animals and collect their morning eggs from the henhouse. The Hinteregger grandmother teaches guests the art of butter churning and cheese-making in a hands-on class.
